An ApplicationThis was the golden chapter of Israel. From an earthly perspective, it doesn't get any better than this. But we're only 45% of the way through the stories. And the golden days only lasted one chapter, which serves to point out to us that our triumph has nothing to do with God's plan. God has His own plan and He is seeing it through. Sometimes His people will be rich, sometimes they (we) will be poor, either way, the key is always to listen and obey, even today.
