Some ThoughtsCompare Achich's comment in 1SA 29:6 to what the kings of Babylon will proclaim later in DAN 4:37, 6:25-27, and EZR 1:2. Though Achich was on his way to kill God's people, so it's not exactly a good comparison. He wasn't first or last to patronize God, which we're warned against in JAM 2:19. Others will learn the hard way that invoking the name of God without knowing Him (or while overtly defying Him) isn't guaranteed to work out in your favor: ACT 19:15-16, MT 7:21.
