Some ThoughtsZechariah was the fourth generation descendant from Jehu (2KI 10:30-31), just as God said. / In 2KI 15:19-20, if each silver coin was one ounce, like it is today, then 38 tons would take 24-28,000 people giving 50 coins. Based on 2010-2020 average price of silver per ounce, 50 ounces would be worth about $1,000. And remember, this was before the scientific revolution, and most people earned less than a dollar a day.
