An Application
Josiah's younger son became king first, then an older son. Curious about the unusual order, but no explanation was given. Presumably, Jehoahaz was more skilled than his older brother, but God seems to have had other plans.

Jeremiah will write JER 22:10-12 about one brother, and JER 22:15-19 about the other. / Even after 2KI 18:3 & 5, we see another sad example in 2KI 23:32 & 37 that it's difficult to raise good kids. The pagan pull is very strong (or the sinful slope is very slippery, 1CO 15:33, JN 8:34.)
