Of course it wasn't just anyone, but it was a mortal man, and that man didn't just ask, he had tremendous faith, and not only that, he put his money where his mouth was and made it his life's mission to glorify God. God's glorification usually plays a big role in miracles, much more than our temporal comfort or mental health.
