Some ThoughtsBy 2SA 19:13, David had had enough of Asahel, Joab, & Abishai's violence. In about 2 dozen references to Abishai in the Bible, 2SA 19:21 is the only one that's really negative, other than 2SA 3:39. Not bad, given the calamity in David's time. (At least they were loyal to the end, which counts for a lot.) David showed what a different man he was from them in 2SA 19:22-23. / 2SA 19:30 is the last we'll hear from Mephibosheth, Ziba, or Mika (2SA 9:12), other than one brief reference in 2SA 21:7.
