An ApplicationThis story brought whole new perspective to GE 12:3 & ISA 45:22 for both Peter and the world. / When he said "you know" in ACT 10:36, remember Peter had spent a night and a day with Cornelius's companions, so would have a good feel for their background. He still repeated the gospel to them but didn't go through as much of the backstory (like he did in ACT 2, 3, and Stephen did in ACT 7.) Hard to believe possible, but this story made the good news even better! Praise God He loves us all!

Connect the DotsCompare ACT 10:26 to REV 22:8-9, ACT 10:28 to JN 18:28, ACT 10:42 to 2TI 4:1, and ACT 10:44-46 to ACT 2:3-6. The dramatic arrival of the Holy Spirit through fire was only recorded the first time He officially came to Jews and Gentiles and is not expected every time someone believes, but still, ACT 20:6. / Contrast ACT 10:48 to ACT 8:16. The difference is likely that Peter was emphasizing in this moment the new significance of Jesus but the actual baptism was surely done obediently to MT 28:19.
