An ApplicationEarlier in Acts, Peter, Stephen, Paul, and others preached to the Jews by proving from the scripture Jesus was the prophecied Messiah (ex: ACT 9:22). But here, Paul was speaking to Greeks. He gave a speach to Gentiles who knew little-to-nothing about the Bible or Torah.

Connect the DotsThis is one of Paul's most famous speaches. It's packed with good stuff, compare ACT 17:23 to DT 29:29; ACT 17:24 to ISA 45:18-19, ISA 66:1, MK 14:58; ACT 17:25 to DT 30:20, PS 50:9-12, ISA 42:5; ACT 17:26 to GE 3:20, DT 32:8; ACT 17:27 to 2CH 15:2, PR 8:17, JER 29:13 AM 5:4; ACT 17:29 to ISA 44:9-20; ACT 17:30 to 2CH 7:14, ISA 45:22, JER 26:2-3; and ACT 17:31 to MT 16:27, MT 28:5-6, JN 5:22-30, ACT 10:42, ROM 2:16, REV 20:12-13.
