An ApplicationACT 21:24 is a rare example in Acts (however common in the gospels) of the apostles giving bad advice. James advised Paul to perform a ceremony thinking it would pacify the theological hatred of the people. Say what?? I can only imagine Paul going through with it out of respect, not agreement. Clearly in ACT 21:27 the Jews didn't care why Paul was there, they jumped to their conclusions without wasting time on petty details (called "facts" on any other day.) Sadly, this still happens today.

Connect the DotsACT 21:30-31 was nothing new to Paul, remember ACT 9:23-24, 29, 13:50, 14:2, 5, 19, 16:22-23, 17:5, 13, 18:13, 19:28-29, and 20:3. Later he'll famously write 2CO 11:23-28.
