An ApplicationOf course Memucan was totally overreacting in EST 1:16-20. If Vashti was God fearing then God could've had something better in mind for her (ROM 8:28). Not likely financially better, but finances are not all there is to life. Either way, God had a plan. He orchestrates in the affairs of men whenever He feels like it (PS 115:3, DAN 2:21), and He wanted a gap in this human organization that He could fill to demonstrate (among many things) His providence & power for thousands of years to come.
