An ApplicationA roller coaster of a story, Esther is a great example of DAN 2:20-21, as well as ROM 8:28. As Christians, we are not promised health and wealth, we are promised JN 15:19, 2TI 3:12-14, JN 16:33, and JN 1:12. It sure is fun to read about the times God protects His people through His providence. He may or may not help those who help themselves, but He typically doesn't help those who just sit idle. Esther and Mordecai were people of action.

Connect the DotsCompare EST 10:3 to DAN 6:3 & 2:47-48. / While Purim is still a real holiday today for Jewish people, it is trivia that Purim, like Esther, Mordecai, and Xerxes, are not mentioned again in scripture. Inversely, Xerxes's son, Artaxerxes, wasn't mentioned in this book. More trivia is Esther is one of only two out of 66 books in the Bible (besides Song of Solomon) where God was not mentioned.
