Some ThoughtsThe beginning of EX 17:14 is a great quote that supports the idea that Moses wrote the Torah. The second half of that verse is a curious prophecy because by being named in the Bible, his memory cannot be forgotten. But I wouldn't want God to say that about me. The Amalekites will again come up in NUM 14:45, NUM 24:20, JDG 6:33-34, 1SA 15:2-3, 1SA 30:17-18, but not specifically named much after that. Haman was a descendent of Agag (EST 3:1) who was king of the Amalekites in Samuel & Saul's time.
