An ApplicationEZE 8:17-18 is perhaps the most pointed example in the Bible of why prayer without obedience is worthless. Obedience without knowing God's will is impossible. Knowing His will without His word is exceedingly rare. Compare 1SA 15:22-23, PS 119:11, and ROM 10:17.
