An ApplicationFirst Abraham lied to the king of Egypt out of fear relating to his wife, then he hid from his wife the plan God had to give him a son through her (hence her laughter at such a new concept), now he's lying again to the king of Gerar out of fear. A takeaway is not to emulate these weaknesses, but to recognize that even Abraham, the patriarch of our faith, had fears and failures, and yet God used him in amazing ways of Biblical proportions, so He can use me too.

Connect the DotsAs crazy of a practice as GE 12:13 and 20:2 were, later, Abraham's son will do the same (GE 26:1, 7).
