An ApplicationGE 29:32-34 & 30:20 have such sad commentary from Leah. Possibly not coincidence that after Judah (in the line of Jesus) she praised God (GE 29:35). GE 30:15 hints Leah had a warped understanding, Jacob never agreed to marry her, Rachel hadn't stolen him. / GE 30:2 was correct, rather than consult God, Rachel took matters into her own hands (like Sarah before her, GE 16:2). It's not like Jacob would refuse such an offer from his wife. Perhaps we should seek God's opinion when things don't go...

Connect the Dots...the way we expect them to. / GE 30:22 "God remembered" was assigning human characteristics, He never actually forgot. Jacob was likely 74 years old when Joseph was born. His twelfth and final son (leading to the twelve tribes of Israel) will be born in GE 35:18. It's interesting he had a daughter, too (GE 30:21) and we'll read about her in GE 34. / 11 may seem like a lot, but some of the kings that will be descendants of this man had many, many more: JDG 8:29-30, 2KI 10:1, 2CH 11:21, 13:21.
