An ApplicationGE 31:53 contains a noteworthy comment: the God of Abraham & Nahor. Abraham was Jacob's grandpa, Nahor was Laban's pa. But Laban had household gods (GE 31:19, etc.) and didn't realize the real God doesn't share (ISA 42:8) and certainly doesn't sit on a shelf with idols. While Laban honestly searched for his gods but didn't find them (GE 31:35) the real God promises otherwise: ISA 45:19, DT 30:11-13. Are we clear on all that?
