An ApplicationSometimes the only thing we need in life to be seen by others as a heretic is clarity. Joseph didn't know exactly how his dreams would come true, and it doesn't even say he knew what they meant at this point (though later he will have God's insight to interpret dreams), but he had clarity he had the dreams and the people he told were unhappy. Jesus and many of the prophets will relate with Joseph on multiple occasions. Maybe you can. Let's be intentional not to be like his brothers.

Connect the DotsIn GE 37:2, Jacob was likely 17, and some of his brothers may be more than a decade older than him. / In GE 37:11, Israel, unlike his sons, had experience dealing with God. / In GE 37:21-22,30, Reuben was the oldest brother, firstborn of Israel. / Compare GE 37:25 to GE 16:15. Later, Moses will marry a Midianite (GE 37:28, EX 2:16-17). / GE 37:18 was a wonderful example of PR 19:21. / Trivia: oneiric (adj.) = relating to dreams.
