An ApplicationIf Joe had wanted revenge, he would've taken it. Clearly he had something else in mind. GE 42:24 is not just a tear in his eye, he was weaping. It has been over half his life since he last saw any of his family. It is unclear if the brothers still honored Joe's memory by starting off their family description as a band of 12 brothers (not 11), or if they were just perpetuating the deceit that he'd been killed by a random animal.

Reuben (GE 42:37) was surely still feeling remorse after GE 37:21-22, 29-30. / Leah has probably died by now because of GE 49:31. The final time she is mentioned in the first person was GE 33:7.
