An ApplicationGE 45:3 was the climactic conclusion to GE 37:8. Clearly Joe had a strong relationship with God, which allowed him to be the perhaps the greatest example of MT 5:44 in the Bible. Hard to say how long it took, but somewhere in here the brothers would've realized holy wow, 22 years ago Joe really did have dreams from God, and God plans insanely (by human standards) far ahead. That wasn't limited to Joe, He does that with us too. And note, not everything good or bad happens to us for us...

Connect the Dots...it may be for others. Though we are always blessed when we obey God (just maybe not in the way we might expect.) / In GE 45:18, Pharaoh was treating Joe's family as if they had helped raise Joe to be the man he was (right or wrong) and was expressing his gratitude. / God reassured Jacob of fear in GE 46:3, which may have been caused by him remembering GE 24:6 and the prophecy in GE 15:12-14.
