An ApplicationGE 7:19-23 indicates 4 times/ways this was a worldwide flood. Interesting that cultures all over the world have global flood stories, many with 8 survivors on a boat. GE 7:19 tells us why we find fish fossils on the tops of mountains. While there are many legends, the Biblical account is more than that, it is truth because God was an eye witness and told Moses what happened, then Moses wrote it down so it'd be accurately preserved for all time.

Connect the DotsGE 7:13-17 is recap of GE 7:1-12, and GE 7:18-24 is further expansion of detail implied in GE 7:12. / Notice in GE 8:15-16, Noah didn't leave the boat until God said to. / God mocked those who thought His influence was not magnificant in JER 23:23-24, He could have just as easily been talking to people who believe the flood was only a local event (or non-event). Then there will be GE 9:19 & 10:32 which explicitly say all people alive today are descendents of one of Noah's 3 sons.
