Some ThoughtsAbram (the first patriarch of the Israelites) will be the eighth generation down from Shem (GE 11:10-26). Jesus will be a descendant of Abram (LK 3:36). / It's a very curious curse in GE 9:24-27, it's never endorsed by God nor referred to later. One explanation for why Noah curses Canaan rather than Ham, even though Ham was the one who'd committed the offense, may involve GE 6:4. / Noah will survive (GE 9:28) until just before Issac is born. Shem's death may have inspired GE 27:2.
