Some Thoughts
We get the impression that God is mad. Really mad: JER 34:17, 22. Whoa, clearly He's ticked off. It would be funny if it weren't so deadly, the stronger Jeremiah's warnings got, I suspect the more people dismissed him as a crackpot. But God's word, and His warnings, should always be respected. We can imagine the Jews (the people of Judah) who'd been illegally returned to slavery were like "yep, they deserve it" when they heard Jeremiah's message.
