Some ThoughtsWe saw in JER 37:3-5 Zedekiah was trying all options, not trusting in anything, including God. He asked both God and Pharaoh for help, and God's response to that was recorded by Ezekiel, the Israelite prophet who was already in Exile after Samaria had fallen to Assyria: EZE 17:11-21. This prophecy will come true in 2KI 25:7. / Curious that Shelemiah was named in JER 37:3 & 13. Curious his sons were in the story for two different reasons. / Compare JER 37:19 to JER 28 and AMOS 9:10.
