Some ThoughtsJoshua wasn't some random successor, as we read about so often in Kings and Chronicles. He had quite a history with Moses and the Israelites, including EX 17:9-11, 24:12-13, 33:11, and NUM 14:30. / This chapter is famous for the phrase "be strong & courageous" (NIV) but it had already been used 3 times in Deuteronomy 31:6, 7, and 23. / The Reuben, Gad, & Manasseh thing was in NUM 32:33.
