An ApplicationSometimes God commands us to act now, other times patience is a great strategy. Discernment to know the difference is important. God gives to those who ask Him (JAM 1:5) but it's also a lifelong journey, not a destination.

Connect the DotsBack in NUM 13:30, he was ready to kick those giants out. He was doomed to wait 45 years because of his companions, but got his chance here. / While NUM 27:5-11 could have been at play here, more likely Caleb was simply being generous to his daughter. We read later in 1CH 4:15 he had 3 sons. / JOS 11:21-22 will be elaborated on in JOS 15:13-14. And this story was recounted from another perspective later, in JDG 1:11-15. / We'll read about Othniel again in JDG 3:9.
