An ApplicationThat was a hard week for the people of Jericho. They already had a hard month (JOS 2:11). They were terrified, but that fear didn't lead them to repent (except Rahab). Otherwise God surely would have treated them like Ninevah in Jonah's time. But when we don't choose God's forgiveness, what is a holy God to do with us? That hard week and month was nothing compared to what would come *after* they were slaughtered by the Israelites.
