An ApplicationWe are all slaves to our paradigms. In LK 2:32 Simeon flat out said Jesus was here for the Gentle and the Jew, and how far into Acts does it take until even the Apostles get it (ACT 11:18)? / Jesus was no hippy. While God is love (1JN 4:8) He came full of both grace and truth (JN 1:14). / LK 2:35b is possibly foreshadowing JN 19:25.

Connect the DotsIn LK 2:11, Jesus was a couple hours old. In LK 2:21, He was 8 days old. In LK 2:22, He was almost month and a half (LEV 12:1-4). / In LK 2:33, they would've been more amazed at Simeon saying the things, than the things Simeon said.
