An ApplicationJesus's resurrection exactly when He said He would is the most important story in the Bible. / What an affirmation of God's perspective on women that the greatest news in the history of the universe was first revealed to a couple women (MT 28:5,9) compare PS 68:11 CSB. / Fascinating character reveal: after the ordeal of the last few stories His first word to humanity was "greetings" (MT 28:9). Don't take for granted, and don't forget the whole context as outlined by Jesus Himself in JN 3:16-18.

Connect the DotsIn MT 28:13-14, what the priests were recommending was quite a conundrum. Falling asleep on the job was a capital crime, as emphasized in ACT 12:19 and 16:27. Yet that was the best they could come up with to [deceitfully] explain away this miracle of God. (Remember MT 27:62-64.) / The subtle differences in MT, MK, LK, JN are symptomatic of eyewitnesses of trauma. / Without the resurrection there is no Christianity, as mentioned in 1CO 15:17-19. This isn't a circular argument, it's just a fact.
