An ApplicationContrast REV 11:10 and 13. In REV 11:13, it seems just the survivors in Jerusalem are the ones praising God, while in REV 11:10 people around the globe are joyfully rebelling against God. This doesn't mean there aren't believers around the world, but they're not the ones who are leading the culture. (Compare ROM 11:2-4 and JER 49:12, which imply the presence of a believing minority, or remnant, in their days, and always.)

Connect the DotsAfter this, Satan will be permitted to send his own impressive prophets, which reminds us of 2TH 2:11-12, and of how God put both the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil side by side back in the Garden of Eden in GE 2:9. This isn't a malicious choice, for remember DT 30:19 and EZE 18:23. / Regarding the plagues, why do you think God sent them? He told us in REV 3:19, plus PR 3:11-12, 12:1 & HEB 12:7-11.
