An ApplicationThere are two kinds of people. Those who know God and praise Him for His glory and fear Him as He commands. Then there are the people who who know of God but give Him grief, who blame Him for not doing nor being as they wish. Hell, for all its eternal insane torments, will be full of people who have the freedom to repent but choose not to. Just as the people in this story could have repented but chose to resent (curse) ISA 66:1-4, JAM 4:10.
