An ApplicationAs with the previous story (REV 6:16-17) the devastation was done because of the response it received. Humanity isn't recorded as repenting or relenting but rather continuing to rebel in REV 9:20-21. God had been showing His love for millennia before this prophecied story will take place, but even God's patience runs out eventually. At an individual level, let's not try Him. He wants obedience (1SA 15:22, MT 7:21) beginning with repentance (MT 4:17).
