Some ThoughtsThe blessing in RU 4:11 was probably standard issue, but since Boaz made it into the lineage of Jesus (with Ruth's help) it came true for him more than most who heard it. Rachel, Leah, & Jacob were in GE 29-30, Perez (RU 4:12 & 4:18-22) was in GE 38:27-30. / In RU 4:16, being raised by grandma is fairly common even today, but for different reasons. / Curious in RU 4:17 that the neighborhood women named the boy. This is the only reference in scripture to such a practice.
